Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 11/17/2025

This Privacy Policy explains how the Fulton County Republican Party (“FCRP,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information from individuals (“Users”) who visit our website, subscribe to communications, register for events, join as members, make donations, or otherwise engage with us through our online systems, including our membership database hosted on Wild Apricot.

1. Personal Information We Collect

We may collect personal information from Users in various ways, including when you:

        • Visit our website or create an account
        • Register for an event or volunteer activity
        • Join as a member or renew your membership
        • Subscribe to newsletters or updates
        • Make a donation or payment through our site

Information may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, payment details, or other data required to complete your requested activity. You may visit our site anonymously, but certain functions (e.g., membership or event registration) require personal information.  We may also collect additional information relevant to our civic mission and membership activities, which may include, but is not limited to:

        • Basic voter-registration or district details used for civic and organizational purposes
        • Information about your volunteer interests, skills, or participation in FCRP events and initiatives
        • Membership history and engagement preferences
        • Professional or leadership interests, such as holding or seeking public office
        • General engagement data, such as event attendance or response to our communications

This information is used for organizational and outreach purposes, including member engagement, volunteer coordination, and communication with our supporters.

2. Non-Personal Information

We may collect non-personal information (e.g., browser type, device type, operating system, and pages visited) to improve our website’s functionality and visitor experience.

3. Cookies

Our website may use “cookies” to enhance your experience. You can choose to disable cookies in your browser, though some parts of the site may not function properly as a result.

4. How We Use Your Information

        • Provide and improve services such as memberships, event registrations, and donations
        • Communicate about your account, membership status, or event participation
        • Send newsletters and updates you opt in to receive
        • Process payments and acknowledgments
        • Improve our website and offerings based on feedback
        • Comply with legal and recordkeeping obligations
        • Coordinate civic and volunteer activities: Maintain limited voter-related and engagement information to assign districts, match volunteers, and plan initiatives
        • Understand engagement trends: Track high-level metrics (e.g., opens/clicks) to evaluate and improve communications

5. How We Protect Your Information

We use appropriate safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information.  Sensitive data exchanged between you and our site occurs over a secure SSL connection and is encrypted. Payment transactions are handled by PCI-compliant processors. Access to membership and contact data in our Wild Apricot system is restricted to authorized FCRP personnel and volunteers who require it for legitimate functions.

6. Sharing of Information

FCRP does not sell, trade, rent, give, or otherwise provide Users’ personal information to others.  We may share limited data only with trusted service providers who assist in operating our organization (e.g., website host, payment processor, or email service), and only as needed for them to perform their duties under confidentiality obligations.

We will not share, disclose, or provide your personal information to any political candidate, campaign, or committee without your express permission.

We may share aggregate, non-identifiable data (for example, total event attendance) for reporting purposes, but this information cannot identify individual Users.

7. Co-Hosted & Third-Party Events

From time to time, FCRP may promote or facilitate events that are organized by a third party (for example, a campaign or community partner). By default, FCRP does not share your personal information with those third parties.  If an event requires the organizer to know who is attending, we will clearly identify the organizer and ask for your express permission during registration to share your information. If you provide this permission, your information will be shared directly with that organizer, and it will then be handled according to their own privacy policy and practices. By giving consent, you acknowledge that FCRP has no control over how that third party may use or contact you in the future, and that their privacy practices may differ from ours.

If you do not provide consent, FCRP will share only anonymous attendance counts with the organizer.

We will never share, give, or sell your personal information to a political candidate, campaign, or committee unless you have explicitly opted in to do so for a specific event or activity.

8. Your Choices

      • You may opt out of promotional or marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those messages.
      • Clicking “Unsubscribe” in any FCRP email will remove you only from that type of communication only (for example, event announcements or newsletters). You may still receive other categories of communication that you have not opted out of.
      • You may also update your contact information and manage your email preferences by logging into your Wild Apricot member profile. Within your profile, you can choose which types of emails you receive — such as event announcements and general email blasts.
      • Certain system-generated emails — such as membership confirmations, invoices, donation receipts, password resets, and renewal reminders — are automatically sent as part of our organizational operations and cannot be opted out of while maintaining an active account or membership.
      • You may also request that we update or delete your information, subject to legal or accounting obligations we must meet.

9. Text Messaging (SMS) Communications

FCRP may offer the option to receive occasional updates or event reminders via text message (SMS). We send text messages only to individuals who have voluntarily provided their mobile number and given express consent to receive them.  By opting in, you agree that FCRP may send you messages related to events, membership updates, volunteer opportunities, or organizational notices. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Because Wild Apricot’s texting service does not include separate preference categories, opting out of texts will stop all text communications from FCRP. You may continue to receive email communications according to your email preferences and system requirements.

10. Third-Party Websites

Our site may include links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

11. Changes to This Policy

FCRP may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it regularly to stay informed about how we protect your information.
